Summer at The Jersey Shore!
I have friend who lives in New Jersey, and she always talks about her yearly trip to the Jersey shore. She loves going down there with her family, even though she could quite happily leave her relatives behind when she goes. She says the aggravation of having her family there is quite worth it, however, because this is one time of the year when she can just sit and watch the waves roll in and pretend that everything in life is just ducky. She doesn’t know what she would do without her yearly trip to unwind.
Her family has a cottage near the Jersey shore, so she doesn’t have to worry about accommodation while she is there. If you don’t have this luxury, you can find plenty of places to stay, and you may find that some of them are rather affordable if you are worried about cost. It will just depend on what part of the Jersey shore you visit, and what time of year you go. You can find plenty of places to stay by looking on the Internet for more information.
I have only been to the Jersey shore once in my life, and it was a strange experience. I went on a trip after graduating from high school, and we went to the boardwalk. I want to say it was in Tom’s River, but I could be mistaking one part of our trip with another. What I do remember for sure was that we went at night, and no one was allowed on the beach, which was understandable. I didn’t really care about that, as I have never been on an ocean beach before, so I took a quick stroll anyway. I made sure I picked up some sand and a few shells, though I think my friend told me I was not supposed to do that. I wonder now if she knew what she was talking about, as that seems rather silly in retrospect.
What I loved about the Jersey shore was the smell of the ocean and the long meandering boardwalk. There was so much to do there, and it was something so different from what I was used to. Perhaps that is the most amazing thing about travel. You get to see what is not normal to you, and you get to see things that you never knew existed. If you are looking for a quick getaway, the Jersey shore might be just what you need. It may not be the most exotic locale, but you will find something interesting to do, and many new things to see.
